I recently upgraded my main Dell. I removed the floppy drive, put in a dual format 8X DVD burner, and completed it with 5 Maxtor Hard Drives.

Drive C: Maxtor 160 GB, 7,200 RPM, 8MB Cache {Master IDE 1}
Drive D: Maxtor 40 GB, 7,200 RPM {Master Promise IDE 1}
Drive E: Maxtor 80 GB, 7,200 RPM, 8MB Cache {Slave Promise IDE 1}
Drive F: Maxtor 60 GB, 5,400 RPM {Master Promise IDE 2}
Drive G: Maxtor 60 GB, 5,400 RPM {Slave Promise IDE 2}
Drive H: TDK 8x Dual Format DVD Burner {Master IDE 2}
